“Hey! What you guys doing down there?”
“We’re digging out space for another vault.”
“Nobody is supposed to know about these vaults under the floor of the Capitol. Who told you about them?”
“The state treasurer, that’s who. And who are you?”
“I’m the watchman who’s supposed to be guarding this place. Who are you?”
“We are deputies of the state treasurer, working down here to expand the vault space before the Sanhedrin votes to put more money in storage.”
“It’s not the Sanhedrin, stupid. It’s the Legislature.”
“Sorry. I know more Bible than government — whoever makes the rules and regulations.”
“How many of you guys are down there?”
“Two us — one to dig and one to haul dirt. When my bucket is full, I take the rope ladder up and dump the dirt somewhere. It’s easier to spread the dirt when the Legislature is up there. Now, Mr. Watchman, we appreciate the work, but I would like to know why we need so many vaults down here.”
“What’s your complaint?”
“First, we have two big vaults marked ‘Rainy Day Fund.’ We have so much money saved for rainy days that Noah the Nervous has started building a new ark.”
I see you are still whining about everything Democrat! Must be tough getting up in the morning with this attitude! Suppose you are disgusted that the tea-partier’s screwed themselves up also. Perhaps you can get your state income tax adjusted by the ND g.o.p.’ers! Are you still maintaining that your state tax is higher than your federal income tax?
It’s not only higher, it was over five times higher last year and will no doubt be the same this year. The greed and laziness of those who spend their lives on government payrolls knows no bounds. Lloyd is a poster boy for that mindset.
How would kev know anything about the laziness and greed etc of those….? he never gets out in society to actually see for himself . He says he is’ self employed’ according to his bio. That can be taken many ways and one snarky intrepretation would be to infer ( as Kev would) that he does not like working with other humans or that other humans do not like working with him!
And as a self employed ‘worker ‘ it can be inferred that he pays more in state taxes because he has been too lazy himself to earn a income that would garner a federal tax rate!!!
and since he has refused to meet me at many Farm forums when they have occurred in Fargo , and actually meet us lazy greedy farmers who ‘go there to spend all their subsidy money!’, it can be inferred that he has no willingness to test his theories out in the real world!
I wonder if there is a website out there that can prove how much guys like kev benefit( sponge off ) the taxpaper ?
it’s easy to make fun of north dakota’s underground trust vaults. here in minnesota we have a large porcelein toilet bowel above ground with the flush handle duct taped down and just dump the money in.
It flows into the already over filled pockets of the DFL.
